The Rug No.14 is a hand-knotted piece crafted from New Zealand wool with a cotton base. This high-pile Scandinavian rug gets its distinct character from the plush, curly yarn, a result of the traditional hand-spinning technique. The deep, soft pile offers a tactile quality that works well in spaces designed for comfort and restoration. It is a good fit for someone who prefers the quiet luxury of natural materials and minimalist forms.

Each rug is unique and can vary slightly in size and color. Given product measurements for each of our styles are measured excluding fringes, tassels or braids.

Product Care

Cappelen Dimyr is produced by hand in the finest wool with long and strong fibers. Because of its natural structure, the long pile rugs tend to shed initially, and it is therefore recommended to vacuum the rugs daily in the beginning. It is common for rugs to lose individual fibers, and this has been taken in to consideration in all Cappelen Dimyr designs, to make sure that the excess fibers do not affect the quality of the rug. It is recommended flat spout when vacuuming long pile rugs to avoid damaging the yarn. Make sure not to use a heavy beater bar. Shedding tends to decrease within a couple of months.
