Description

The Palsta Rug by Sera Helsinki is a hand-woven wool rug from designer Anna Pirkola’s Saaristo collection. Crafted in Ethiopia from natural Ethiopian highland sheep wool and cotton, the Palsta Rug uses undyed yarn to create two colourways—Natural White & Black or Natural White & Brown. Each Palsta Rug is woven to order and comes in two standard sizes, giving your living room or bedroom a warm, tactile foundation.

This Palsta Rug celebrates traditional craftsmanship: the wool is free of chemicals and retains its natural lanolin, making the rug durable and easy to clean. Slight variations in colour and size highlight the uniqueness of each handmade piece. Custom sizes are available on request, and production takes 2–3 months as artisans hand-weave your rug in Ethiopia. With its classic design and ethical production, the Palsta Rug offers a timeless addition to modern interiors.
Dimensions
Material

Made of pure Ethiopian highland sheep wool. Thread, knotting, and weaving are entirely handmade. No chemicals were used.
Woven rugs: weaving is made of wool (50%) and warp is made of cotton (50%).
Knotted rugs: knotting is done of wool (80%), and the warp is made of cotton (20%)
Product Care
