Nurja Rug

The Nurja Rug by Sera Helsinki is a distinctive wool rug designed by Helsinki interior designer Laura Seppänen. The Nurja Rug features two pile heights: a raised linear band running down the centre and long 16 cm fringes along the long sides, creating architectural contrast and texture. It can be hand woven or hand knotted, making each piece unique.

Handcrafted in Ethiopia from pure natural wool with its lanolin intact, this rug is durable and naturally stain-repellent. Choose from two standard sizes (150 × 240 cm or 180 × 300 cm) and three colourways—natural white, natural white with black or natural white with brown—or request a custom size. Made to order with a lead time of two to three months, the Nurja Rug brings modern Finnish design and Ethiopian craftsmanship to living rooms or bedrooms.
