Description

The Hanki Rug II by Sera Helsinki is a classic hand-woven or hand-knotted rug in natural white. It combines pure Ethiopian highland sheep wool with Finnish minimalist design, offering a warm, understated foundation for living rooms or bedrooms. Each Hanki Rug II is made to order in Ethiopia, with artisans weaving or knotting the wool and cotton warp without chemicals.

Available in three standard sizes (100 x 200 cm, 170 x 240 cm and 200 x 300 cm), the Hanki Rug II can also be customised to fit your space. Because the wool is undyed and unbleached, colours and dimensions may vary slightly, and small irregularities highlight the uniqueness of each hand-crafted rug. Expect a production lead time of 2-3 months. The natural lanolin in the wool repels dirt and stains, making the Hanki Rug II durable and easy to care for.
Dimensions
Material

Made of pure Ethiopian highland sheep wool. Thread, knotting, and weaving are entirely handmade. No chemicals were used.
Woven rugs: weaving is made of wool (50%) and warp is made of cotton (50%).
Knotted rugs: knotting is done of wool (80%), and the warp is made of cotton (20%)
Product Care
