The Alder Oval Lounge Table by Mater, designed by Patricia Urquiola, blends sculptural presence with eco-conscious craftsmanship. 

Made from biodegradable Matek® (a unique blend of sugarcane plastic and coffee- or wood-waste) with a recycled-steel frame, the Alder Oval Lounge Table measures 82 × 57.3 × 31.5 cm and weighs ~22 kg, making it sturdy yet manageable.

Perfect for indoor or sheltered outdoor zones, the Alder Oval Lounge Table resists spills, cleans with mild detergent, and naturally ages over time.

Available in Biodegradable Sand or Earth Grey, its soft sculpted edges and rhythmic groove detail bring organic form and lasting elegance to contemporary settings

Made of wood and Matek® material (Cutting-edge technology allows Mater to make furniture from waste materials in their patented Matek® material by combining fibre with a binder. The Matek® is made by mixing e-waste with either coffee waste from Danish coffee producer BKI Kaffe or wood waste.)

For daily care, it is recommended to dust the surface with a soft cloth. The surface can be cleaned with a soft cloth wrung out in a mild solution of lukewarm water and a universal cleaning detergent. Avoid using abrasive cleaning agents and harsh detergents, as these may damage the surface.

Avoid placing Matek™ furniture in direct sunlight, excessive heat, or humidity over longer periods of time, as this can affect the appearance of the material. For tabletops, we always recommend using trivets under hot objects, such as coffee pots and cups, to prevent damage to the surface.

Items on their way to our warehouse are ordered from the supplier and have been given a preliminary delivery time, which may be moved up or delayed depending on the supplier's production and delivery, and we have no control over this. The item will be sent directly to you as soon as it arrives at our warehouse.

The delivery time presented is always preliminary and may be moved up or delayed depending on the supplier's production and delivery, which we cannot influence. An order for a made-to-order item cannot be canceled or returned, as it is specially made for you.

Whether an item is eligible for return or cancellation, it is indicated once the product is added to cart, and throughout the checkout process.

To initiate a return, email customercase@thatcooliving.com for authorization. A 25% restocking fee and return shipping costs will be deducted from your refund. Returned items must be in their original condition, unassembled if applicable, and in the original packaging.

For damage claims, report within 2 days of delivery. Include photos of the packaging before opening, pictures of the damage, and a copy of the signed Bill of Lading (BOL) highlighting the damages.
