Description

The Vuoristo Rug by Sera Helsinki is a sculptural wool rug designed by Helsinki stylist Peeta Peltola. Finnish for "mountain", the Vuoristo Rug echoes the Ethiopian highlands where Sera Helsinki rugs are made. Its pattern features two intersecting curved lines and two heights, creating movement and depth. Each Vuoristo Rug can be hand knotted or woven, giving the rug a distinctive texture.

Handcrafted in Ethiopia from pure natural wool with its lanolin intact, the rug repels dirt and wears well. Choose from several standard sizes or request a custom size, and select natural white with brown or black accents. Made to order with a lead time of two to three months, the Vuoristo Rug adds a tactile focal point to living rooms or bedrooms while supporting ethical production.
Dimensions
Material

Made of pure Ethiopian highland sheep wool. Thread, knotting, and weaving are entirely handmade. No chemicals were used.
Woven rugs: weaving is made of wool (50%) and warp is made of cotton (50%).
Knotted rugs: knotting is done of wool (80%), and the warp is made of cotton (20%)
Product Care

- woven rugs can be washed with water, just make sure that the rug dries entirely - knotted rugs are recommended to be professionally cleaned
