A hand-woven wool rug with a loop surface.
The three-dimensional structure of the Mukula rug is made of thick wool and a small amount of polyamide to make it stronger.
Material
- Weft: 80% wool/20% polyamide
- Warp: 100% cotton
Wool is naturally antistatic and dirt-resistant which makes it a perfect material for rugs. A wool rug does not absorb humidity so it feels warm and cozy even in chilly spaces.
Using undyed sheep wool as a material saves a lot of water in the production process. Wool, as well as all new natural materials, have their own particular odor which gradually disappears after time and use.
Care
Wool is an easy-to-care natural material, often needing only airing and light vacuuming. Lanolin's waterproofing property helps remove fresh stains only with a damp cloth. Please notice that all rugs that are made of natural materials will release some lint in the beginning. However, this will lessen after time and use. We recommend using an anti-slip rug underlay. Never use a rotating brush, such as a robot vacuum cleaner, when vacuuming the rug. Please note that we do not recommend loop rugs for pet households as claws might damage the surface of the rug.
