Inspired by the classic shaker traditions, the Nestor Chair Collection is made with careful attention to detail and the use of natural materials, designed for Mater by Tom Stepp.
The Nestor Chair Collection is made from FSC® certified wood, like every wooden Mater product. The handwoven paper cord used on the seats is also FSC® certified and biodegradable.
The collection consists of both side chairs and armchairs, made to fit several settings for both private and public use, available in four colour combinations.
The lacquer used on the Nestor Chair Collection is a water-based lacquer, that is much more environmentally friendly than oil-based alternatives. This is because of its low VOC content that improves the indoor climate inside your house or office, creating less impact on the environment.

An FSC® certification ensures fair wages, a fair-trading price and gives full traceability - allowing Mater to trace each of the certified products back to the forest where the used wood came from. This certification makes sure that each tree that is felled, are getting replanted and exploitation of nature is avoided.

Transforming a house into a cozy home is a journey. Our curated collection includes globally sourced items, many made to order just for you. The production and delivery time ranges from couple days to several months. Upon receiving your order, we'll email you an estimated timeline and provide ongoing updates. Returns are accepted within 14 days of receipt, except for made-to-order items. Made to order items are final sale, and orders cannot be cancelled once placed.
To initiate a return, email customercase@thatcooliving.com for authorization. A 25% restocking fee and return shipping costs will be deducted from your refund. Returned items must be in their original condition, unassembled if applicable, and in the original packaging.
For damage claims, report within 2 days of delivery. Include photos of the packaging before opening, pictures of the damage, and a copy of the signed Bill of Lading (BOL) highlighting the damages.
