The Equi Bookend is a sculptural stone bookend inspired by the idea of equilibrium. Carved from travertine or Calacatta viola marble, its arched form counterbalances books and magazines while standing as a display piece. Designed by Signe Hytte and crafted in Portugal, the Equi Bookend invites a sense of calm and balance.
Measuring around 15 × 15 × 6 cm and weighing about 2.5 kg, this solid piece of natural stone brings unique veins and tones to every edition. Use the Equi Bookend alone or pair two to hold a row of books; its weight and silhouette ensure stability on shelves, desks or tables. The simple geometry stems from the name’s Latin roots (“aequus”), reflecting the equality of forces that hold your reading collection upright.
