Kanso Bed

The Kanso Bed by Karup Design is a low pine platform frame defined by minimalist Japanese–Scandinavian style. Crafted from FSC-certified solid pine with a lacquered “Raw” finish, it comes in 90–180 cm widths and can be configured with two or four discreet storage drawers. Standing 25 cm tall, it’s a functional yet calming anchor for the bedroom. Handmade in Europe, the Kanso Bed balances clean lines with practical storage. For those with a US queen-size mattress, we recommend the 160×200 cm Kanso Double Bed. Because a US queen is slightly smaller, the slats remain visible, use two 80×200 cm Tatami Mats under the mattress to cover slats, improve comfort, and create a seamless aesthetic.

Frame: Pine Wood lacquered

Wood: The knots in natural wood furniture are individual characteristics and charisma of each piece of furniture. Not two will look the same. You can expect the natural wood surfaces to change over time when permanently exposed to the climate, sunlight, and humidity fluctuations.

General wood care: do not place hot objects on the furniture, do not place candles directly on the furniture, immediately wipe off any spilled liquids with a damp cloth, regularly check if the screws and fittings are tight.

Fabric: Mixed fabric is made from 80% cotton and 20% polyester. Do only clean with a dry cloth to prevent stains.
