The Rug No.09 is a creation of the Copenhagen-based design collective Cappelen Dimyr. As a centerpiece shaggy wool rug, its appeal lies in a deep, comforting pile and a minimalist sensibility rooted in Scandinavian design. The use of natural, unbleached wool results in subtle variations in color, making each piece unique.

Its generous texture provides a soft and inviting surface underfoot, balancing clean-lined furniture with a touch of bohemian warmth. This piece is a good fit for someone who prefers serene interiors built around natural materials and lasting forms.

Product Care

Cappelen Dimyr is produced by hand in the finest wool with long and strong fibers. Because of its natural structure, the long pile rugs tend to shed initially, and it is therefore recommended to vacuum the rugs daily in the beginning. It is common for rugs to lose individual fibers, and this has been taken in to consideration in all Cappelen Dimyr designs, to make sure that the excess fibers do not affect the quality of the rug. It is recommended flat spout when vacuuming long pile rugs to avoid damaging the yarn. Make sure not to use a heavy beater bar. Shedding tends to decrease within a couple of months.
