The Roots 140 Sofa Bed by Karup Design is a minimalist multitasker. Crafted in FSC® pine, this 140 cm-wide sofa effortlessly converts to a 140 × 200 cm bed via a flexible futon, ideal for lounging with a raised backrest or sleeping. The 12 cm mattress blends recycled fibers and foam for comfort. Handmade in Europe and built to support up to 250 kg, Roots 140 combines quietly powerful design with sustainable structure and flexible form, perfect for modern living and small spaces.

Product Care

Wood: The knots in natural wood furniture are individual characteristics and charisma of each piece of furniture. Not two will look the same. You can expect the natural wood surfaces to change over time when permanently exposed to the climate, sunlight, and humidity fluctuations.

General wood care: do not place hot objects on the furniture, do not place candles directly on the furniture, immediately wipe off any spilled liquids with a damp cloth, regularly check if the screws and fittings are tight.

Fabric: Mixed fabric is made from 80% cotton and 20% polyester. Do only clean with a dry cloth to prevent stains.
