Description

The Retki Rug by Sera Helsinki is part of the brand’s Juuret collection, offering a striking black and white pattern woven into a hand-knotted wool rug. This Retki Rug reflects Finnish minimalism while honouring Ethiopian artisanship, with each piece handmade in Ethiopia using pure Ethiopian highland sheep wool. The natural wool is undyed and unbleached, giving every Retki Rug subtle variations that add character.

Available in standard sizes, 100 × 200 cm, 170 × 240 cm and 200 × 300 cm, or custom dimensions on request, the Retki Rug is made to order with a lead time of about two to three months. Its durable wool retains natural lanolin for dirt-repelling qualities, and the black-and-white pattern adds graphic interest to living rooms, hallways or offices. As each rug is handcrafted, slight variations in size or shade highlight the uniqueness of this artisan-made rug.
Dimensions
Material

Made of pure Ethiopian highland sheep wool. Thread, knotting, and weaving are entirely handmade. No chemicals were used.
Woven rugs: weaving is made of wool (50%) and warp is made of cotton (50%).
Knotted rugs: knotting is done of wool (80%), and the warp is made of cotton (20%)
