Rug No.23

Rug No. 23 is a light, flat-woven, handmade rug crafted from natural materials. It features a checkered pattern that combines natural jute with slub yarn in white natural wool. The mix of jute and slub yarn creates a three-dimensional look and feel, adding a unique touch to its classic, timeless design. A thin fringe along the short edges provides a simple yet important detail to the overall design.

Cappelen Dimyr is produced by hand in the finest wool with long and strong fibers. Because of its natural structure, the long pile rugs tend to shed initially, and it is therefore recommended to vacuum the rugs daily in the beginning. It is common for rugs to lose individual fibers, and this has been taken in to consideration in all Cappelen Dimyr designs, to make sure that the excess fibers do not affect the quality of the rug. It is recommended flat spout when vacuuming long pile rugs to avoid damaging the yarn. Make sure not to use a heavy beater bar. Shedding tends to decrease within a couple of months.
