Description

The Mater Cube by Mater is a versatile 45 × 45 × 45 cm block made from Matek®, a circular material combining recycled coffee shell or wood waste with industrial plastic waste, supported by an FSC-certified wood frame. Available in variants using coffee shell waste or wood waste, the Mater Cube functions as a side table, stool or plant stand. Its durable, low-maintenance surface is crafted for indoor use and reflects Mater’s commitment to sustainable materials. The inner frame and material composition make the Mater Cube both sturdy and environmentally responsible.

Coffee shell waste from BKI’s coffee roasting process mixed with industrial plastic waste from GROHE.
Product Care

For daily care, it is recommended to dust the surface with a soft cloth. The surface can be cleaned with a soft cloth wrung out in a mild solution of lukewarm water and a universal cleaning detergent. Avoid using abrasive cleaning agents and harsh detergents, as these may damage the surface. Avoid placing Matek™ furniture in direct sunlight, excessive heat, or humidity over longer periods of time, as this can affect the appearance of the material. For tabletops, we always recommend using trivets under hot objects, such as coffee pots and cups, to prevent damage to the surface.
