Description

The Eternity Counter Chair by Mater is a counter-height stool that extends the Eternity Collection. Its organic shell is moulded from Matek, a patented material combining post consumer e‭waste with wood or coffee waste depending on the colour, reducing waste by repurposing materials. Mounted on a recycled metal frame with a gunmetal finish, the chair offers the embracing comfort of a dining chair at counter height. The Eternity Counter Chair is available in multiple Matek blends and upholstery options and each piece removes around 4.3 kg of waste from the planet. Designed by Space Copenhagen for Mater, this sustainable stool suits kitchen islands, bars or commercial counters.

Material

Made of our waste material Matek®. The waste materials used for the Matek® come from post-consumer e-waste mixed with either wood or coffee waste, depending on the colour. The base frame is made of 96% recycled, black-painted aluminum.

Product Care

For daily care, it is recommended to dust the surface with a soft cloth. The surface can be cleaned with a soft cloth wrung out in a mild solution of lukewarm water and a universal cleaning detergent. Avoid using abrasive cleaning agents and harsh detergents, as these may damage the surface. Avoid placing Matek™ furniture in direct sunlight, excessive heat, or humidity over longer periods of time, as this can affect the appearance of the material. For tabletops, we always recommend using trivets under hot objects, such as coffee pots and cups, to prevent damage to the surface.
