Mini Hippo Chair

The Mini Hippo Chair by Karup Design is a whimsical yet functional addition to children’s spaces. Compact at 65 × 78 × 40 cm, it transitions from a snug futon chair into a 65 × 140 cm sleep surface with a simple adjustment of the backrest and arms. The 12 cm thick recycled-fibre mattress, with a supportive foam core and soft, durable cotton blend cover, offers cozy comfort. Lightweight (≈ 5 kg) and handmade in Europe, Mini Hippo comes in a rainbow of colors, perfect for playful lounging, reading corners, or slumber adventures.

Mattress fill: 25 cm recycled mixed fibre mattress with a core of 12 cm foam
Mattress fill material: 90-95% cotton + 5-10% polyester
Cover material: 80 % cotton + 20 % polyester

Wood: The knots in natural wood furniture are individual characteristics and charisma of each piece of furniture. Not two will look the same. You can expect the natural wood surfaces to change over time when permanently exposed to the climate, sunlight, and humidity fluctuations.
General wood care: do not place hot objects on the furniture, do not place candles directly on the furniture, immediately wipe off any spilled liquids with a damp cloth, regularly check if the screws and fittings are tight.
Fabric: Mixed fabric is made from 80 % cotton and 20 % polyester. Do only clean with a dry cloth to prevent stains.
