Description

The Laine Rug by Sera Helsinki is part of the Saaristo collection designed by Anna Pirkola. Meaning "wave" in Finnish, the Laine Rug features a distinctive two-height pattern that recalls the motion of the ocean. Woven or hand-knotted by artisans in Ethiopia, this Laine Rug is made from pure Ethiopian highland sheep wool with natural lanolin left intact, creating a soft yet durable surface.

Available in standard sizes such as 170 × 240 cm and 200 × 300 cm and in three colour combinations, White/White, White/Black or White/Brown, the Laine Rug can also be custom ordered. Each rug is made to order, with a lead time of two to three months, and slight variations in size and colour highlight its handmade origin. With its wave-inspired design and ethical craftsmanship, the Laine Rug brings subtle movement and warmth to living rooms, bedrooms or offices.
Dimensions
Material

Made of pure Ethiopian highland sheep wool. Thread, knotting, and weaving are entirely handmade. No chemicals were used.
Woven rugs: weaving is made of wool (50%) and warp is made of cotton (50%).
Knotted rugs: knotting is done of wool (80%), and the warp is made of cotton (20%)
Product Care

- woven rugs can be washed with water, just make sure that the rug dries entirely - knotted rugs are recommended to be professionally cleaned
