Eternity Bar Chair by Mater pairs a molded recycled-composite shell with a slim powder-coated steel frame and integrated footrest, providing supportive bar-height seating with a clean, precise profile. Part of Mater’s Eternity collection and developed with a circular design approach, it has a subtly textured seat and is designed for disassembly for easier recycling in residential or hospitality settings.

Description

The Eternity Bar Chair by Mater is the bar-height stool version of the Eternity Chair. Its organic shell is molded from Matek, a patented material that combines e-waste with wood or coffee waste depending on the colourway, repurposing waste into a durable composite. Mounted on a recycled metal frame with a gunmetal finish, the chair offers the embracing comfort of a dining chair at bar height. The Eternity Bar Chair is available in various Matek blends and upholstery options, and each piece removes around 4.3 kg of waste from the planet. Designed by Space Copenhagen for Mater, this sustainable stool suits bars, kitchen counters, or high tables.

Material

Made of our waste material Matek®. The waste materials used for the Matek® come from post-consumer e-waste mixed with either wood or coffee waste, depending on the colour. The base frame is made of 96% recycled, black-painted aluminum.
Product Care

For daily care, it is recommended to dust the surface with a soft cloth. The surface can be cleaned with a soft cloth wrung out in a mild solution of lukewarm water and a universal cleaning detergent. Avoid using abrasive cleaning agents and harsh detergents, as these may damage the surface. Avoid placing Matek™ furniture in direct sunlight, excessive heat, or humidity over longer periods of time, as this can affect the appearance of the material. For tabletops, we always recommend using trivets under hot objects, such as coffee pots and cups, to prevent damage to the surface.
