A minimalist platform bed frame made from pine wood, Senza keeps the look low and airy with clean lines and a slatted base. Use it as a calm anchor in a Japandi bedroom setup with a futon-style mattress and tatami mats for a pared-back, grounded feel.

Senza Bed by Karup Design leans into Japanese-inspired simplicity with a low-profile wooden bed frame that suits modern, minimalist bedroom styling. The pine wood frame and visible slats keep the silhouette light, while still feeling solid and intentional.

Choose it for a pared-back sleep setup where the structure stays visually quiet and the bedding does the cozy work. It works especially well centered on an open wall with space on both sides for matching nightstands and reading lights. If you are pairing it with a US queen-size mattress, the 160 x 200 cm option is the recommended match, and adding two 80 x 200 cm tatami mats underneath helps cover exposed slats while keeping the look cohesive. Wood naturally shifts over time, so subtle color variation can happen as it ages in light and changing humidity.

Wood: The knots in natural wood furniture are individual characteristics and charisma of each piece of furniture. Not two will look the same. You can expect the natural wood surfaces to change over time when permanently exposed to the climate, sunlight, and humidity fluctuations. General wood care: do not place hot objects on the furniture, do not place candles directly on the furniture, immediately wipe off any spilled liquids with a damp cloth, regularly check if the screws and fittings are tight. Fabric: Mixed fabric is made from 80% cotton and 20% polyester. Do only clean with a dry cloth to prevent stains.
