Description

The Abeba Rug by Sera Helsinki is a woven wool rug designed by Finnish design studio Mifuko and inspired by Addis Ababa, whose name means "new flower." This Abeba Rug features a pattern reminiscent of the bricks and criss‑crossing roads of Ethiopia’s capital, and is available in two timeless colour combinations: natural white with black, and natural white with brown.

Handmade to order in Ethiopia from 100 % pure natural wool with its lanolin intact, each Abeba Rug retains subtle variations in size and shade that underline its artisanal origin. Choose from standard sizes (100 × 200 cm, 170 × 240 cm or 200 × 300 cm) or request a custom size; lead time is typically 2‑3 months. The Abeba Rug is ideal for living rooms, hallways or offices where a culturally inspired, durable floor covering adds warmth and story.
Dimensions
Material

Made of pure Ethiopian highland sheep wool. Thread, knotting, and weaving are entirely handmade. No chemicals were used.
Woven rugs: weaving is made of wool (50%) and warp is made of cotton (50%).
Product Care
