Description

The The Dining Chair by Mater is a sculptural yet inviting dining chair designed by Space Copenhagen. Building on Mater’s High Stool, it features a fluid, archetypal silhouette and a generously rounded backrest upholstered in soft durable leather, providing comfort without the need for armrests.

Available in solid oak or beech wood with a steam‑bent veneer backrest, the The Dining Chair uses sustainably sourced FSC‑certified wood from well‑managed forests. The collection honours UN Sustainable Development Goals of protecting life on land and promoting responsible consumption and production.

Product Care

Lacquered or stained wood offers a strong surface, it’s easy to clean, and requires little maintenance. For daily care, it is recommended to dust the furniture with a soft cloth. The product can also be cleaned with a soft cloth wrung in a mild solution of lukewarm water and a universal cleaning detergent. Always follow the wood grains and dry with a soft dry cloth immediately afterwards. Avoid using abrasive and aggressive cleaning detergents, as this will damage the surface of the lacquered or stained wood. Avoid placing wooden furniture in direct sunlight, excessive heat, or humidity, as this can interfere with the appearance of the wood. Oiled wood requires gentle and daily care, to avoid permanent stains. The furniture is best cleaned with a damp, soft, lint-free cloth. Always follow the wood grains and dry with a soft dry cloth immediately afterwards. Avoid using abrasive and aggressive cleaning detergents, as this will damage the surface of the wood treatment. Avoid placing wooden furniture in direct sunlight, excessive heat, or humidity, as this can interfere with the appearance of the wood. In case of more resistant stains or scratches, lightly sand the surface with sandpaper grade 220 or 240. Then wipe off with a dry soft cloth and apply a new layer of oil following the wood grains. Always follow the instructions carefully for the product purchased for retreatment.
