Description

The PI Rack is a minimalist free-standing storage rack, defined by its solid mahogany construction and a hand-finished varnish that brings out the wood's character. Its clean-lined, airy form brings a sense of grounded balance to a room, working well as a functional display piece along a hallway wall.

Designed by Alain van Havre, the PI Rack by Ethnicraft is a striking solid wood shelving unit that celebrates natural forms. The piece is crafted from dark-tainted mahogany, with a polished, imperfect finish that makes each rack unique. Its structure serves as both a versatile bookshelf and a functional display shelf.

The rack’s substantial height and open-sided design offer generous storage without overwhelming a space. It is a good fit for someone who prefers furniture with a strong, simple silhouette and the warmth of natural materials. The design draws on a love for natural elements, with multiple legs creating a form reminiscent of a stylized tree.

Recommended humidity in the room: between 40% and 60%.

To prevent colour differences, do not place furniture or accessories in direct sunlight, and move objects placed on the furniture from time to time. Open your extendable table for the first three weeks after installing and afterwards regularly.

Avoid exposure to extreme conditions: Do not place furniture or accessories near heating sources or air-conditioned spaces.

To prevent staining, remove any spills immediately.

When cleaning the surface, always work in the direction of the wood grain.

Use place mats and/or coasters to prevent hot pots and pans, or cold glasses and bottles, from leaving marks on the furniture.

Do not drag the furniture along the floor; always lift the furniture when moving.

Always ensure water solutions used to clean the floor do not come into contact with the furniture’s base, as it may leave permanent marks. For items that feature rubber glides, avoid using alcohol-based cleaners on floors they are in direct contact with.

Indoor products are not intended for outdoor use. An outdoor product will always indicate so in its name.
